The Cargo Modul Trading (CMT) company of Malmö was early in reaizing the benefits of using high strength steels for making swap body containers. As a result, the company is now a winner in its field and is at the cutting edge of developments.

Martin Wåhlin, president of CMT in Sweden, early realized the advantages of using advanced high strength steel for containers.

“We ran many tests and trials. We continually kept SSAB Tunnplåt in Borlänge informed of our experiences. When we hatched a new idea and asked whether it was practicable, Borlänge would reply that they could carry out tests. It was an exciting period of cooperation,” recalls Martin Wåhlin.

"We are the only manufacturer to design the container to suit the properties of the steel, instead of the other way round,” states Martin Wåhlin.
