As announced earlier, chromate-free passivation of Dogal will be employed in the future. The changeover will take place during the first quarter of 2006. The new chromate-free passivation will be applied to all passivated material as from 20 March 2006.

Rebuilding work will be in progress during the period between 6/2 and 19/3, and no passivation will then be done.So customers who require deliveries of passivated Dogal during the first quarter of 2006 must book their orders no later than 6 January for all material they want delivered before 20 March.

Customers who paint or use adhesive bonding for Dogal may have to adapt their processes to the new passivation. Size A4 trial sheets with the new passivation can therefore be obtained from us for this purpose. However, it is important to note that these sheets have received their passivation coating in a laboratory environment, and we therefore cannot guarantee that they will have exactly the same properties as the end product.

In addition to the above possibility, trial sheets from a coil to which the new passivation has been applied in our painting line will be available as from week 52.
